Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Cardiovascular Lab professional to assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, scrub or monitor duties, and to operate and maintain Cardiovascular Lab equipment. The role emphasizes patient safety and rapid response to cardiac events.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, completion of an Allied Health Sciences program, with ACLS and BCLS certifications.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical experience preferred in Cath Lab or Radiology.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• ACLS required within six months of hire; BCLS certification required.

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures by performing Scrub or Monitor functions.
• Operate and maintain equipment and supplies in the Cardiovascular Lab (CCL).
• Ensure patient safety by recognizing cardiac arrhythmias and responding according to emergency protocols.
• Operate external cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators as needed.

Job Description

Location: Henry Ford Detroit

Schedule: 36hrs per week plus call requirements, Rotating Shift

What You Will Do

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures by performing Scrub or Monitor functions.
• Operate and maintain equipment and supplies in the Cardiovascular Lab (CCL).
• Ensure patient safety by recognizing cardiac arrhythmias and responding according to emergency protocols.
• Operate external cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited program in Allied Health Sciences (e.g., Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, or Cardiac or Vascular Sonography, or equivalent academic program and experience).
• Minimum of one (1) year clinical experience, preferably in Cath Lab or Radiology, and/or registry eligible.
• Valid BCLS certification required; ACLS certification required within six (6) months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensure or Certification in degree field preferred.
