Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ACU Cardiac Cath Lab in Temecula, CA. You will perform initial patient assessments, coordinate discharge planning, and identify needs for further evaluation based on the patient’s condition and planned procedures.

Successful candidates will have 2 years of OR/telemetry/ICU experience, completion of an accredited nursing program, and an active California RN license (BSN preferred). BLS and ACLS must be current.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years’ experience in an operating room, on a telemetry unit, or critical care unit in an acute care facility required
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing Program
• Current California RN license (maintain current), BSN preferred
• BLS (maintain current AHA)
• ACLS (maintain current AHA)

Responsibilities

• Performs initial assessment appropriate to the patient’s scheduled procedure, clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, age development level, cultural and religious orientation in a timely manner.
• Initiates discharge planning for each patient upon admission as appropriate.
• Identifies the need for further assessment based on the patient’s clinical presentation/diagnosis and tolerance of diagnostic testing/scheduled procedure.
