Job summary

St. Mary's Health Care System in Georgia is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Prep & Recovery RN for a full-time, 12-hour day shift (6a–6p).

The role involves prepping patients for procedures and providing Phase I recovery after their procedures, under limited supervision. Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing and adjusting care plans, collaborating with the care and support teams, and delivering nursing care following established standards.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Georgia.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing.
• Successful completion of a refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred within the past 5 years.
• Prior experience in Cardiac Care preferred or prior PACU, Critical Care; BLS and ACLS certified through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Prep patients for procedures and provide Phase I recovery after procedures.
• Assess patients, develop, evaluate, and modify the care plan.
• RNs are members of the Care Team and Support Team with accountability to function as a team.
• Provide care to patients using the nursing process, environment/technology, and other healthcare team members, according to established standards.
