Job summary

St. Mary’s Health Care System in Athens, GA invites an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab. You will work in a two-lab procedural unit, collaborating with the Care Team to deliver high-quality care and respond rapidly to cardiac events.

The role requires a GA RN license, BLS and ACLS, and prior Cardiac Care experience. The schedule is full-time day shift with rotating call, and a comprehensive benefits package begins on day one.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing or substantially equivalent.
• Refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred within the past 5 years.
• Prior experience in Cardiac Care preferred or prior PACU/Critical Care; BLS and ACLS certified through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, develop, evaluate, and modify the care plan under limited supervision.
• Interpret and perform complex patient-care procedures specific to their expertise.
• Function as a team member within Care Team and Support Team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Provide care using the nursing process, environment/technology, and other health care team members, per established standards.
