Saint Peter's Health Care System is seeking a Per Diem RN for the Cardiac Cath Lab in New Jersey. The team emphasizes Magnet-designated nursing practices and excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, planning and evaluating care, and ensuring safe discharge planning within a dynamic multidisciplinary team. Requirements include an active NJ RN license, BLS, and preferred BSN with 1 year of experience.

Formación

• Current RN license in New Jersey (or compact state with NY license transfer).
• BSN preferred; one year of experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS, ECG and Critical Care courses preferred during orientation.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patients per Nursing Standards.
• Plan, implement and evaluate individualized care with MDT.
• Provide direct patient care or supervision to ensure proper care delivery.
• Educate patients and families about health and home care.
• Prepare patients for discharge and home health maintenance.
• Document all aspects of patient care.
• Initiate emergency procedures as needed.
• Maintain supplies and equipment and uphold patient safety.
• Lead as scope of practice allows and participate in quality improvement.
• Participate in unit orientation and peer review processes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess the health status of assigned patients as outlined in the Nursing Standards.
• Plan, implement and evaluate individualized care based on patient assessment and Multi-Disciplinary Plan of Care.
• Provide direct patient care or direction and supervision to other health team members to ensure proper implementation of care in accordance with the requirements of the NJ Board of Nursing, current regulatory guidelines, the ANA Code of Ethics and institutional policies and procedures.
• Teach patient/significant others about health/illness state and plan of care.
• Ensure that patient/significant others are prepared for discharge and health maintenance in the home setting.
• Ensure all procedures are performed based on established Standards of Care.
• Document all aspects of patient care.
• Be knowledgeable of and initiates emergency procedures.
• Maintain supplies and equipment.
• Administer medications and parenteral therapies in accordance with SPUH policies.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort and cleanliness.
• Assume leadership role which is consistent with scope of practice.
• Report all necessary information and/or unusual occurrences in accordance with established SPUH policies and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of and participates in Nursing Quality Improvement Activities.
• Serve productively in Hospital/Divisional/Unit organization.
• Use problem-solving methods to resolve issues that impact upon Nursing care.
• Participate in education and development activities and maintains professional credentialing.
• Participate in Unit orientation programs.
• Participate as a reviewer in the peer review process.

Requirements:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
• One (1) year of experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification obtained during clinical orientation
• ECG course completed during clinical orientation
• Critical Care course completed during clinical orientation

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
