Job summary

Merit Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process in coordination with physicians and the care team. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, and evaluation to achieve high-quality outcomes.

You will administer prescribed medications, monitor patient responses, assist during procedures, and educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge instructions. A strong focus on infection control and safety is required.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting.
• Current RN licensure in the state or a compact state is required.
• BCLS certification; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Administers medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures and supports post-procedure care.
• Educates patients and families about conditions and discharge plans.
• Maintains infection control and patient safety standards.
