Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab. You will plan, implement and evaluate direct patient care for diverse ages, collaborating with physicians and the health care team to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes.

In this role you will administer medications, monitor patient status, and assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned, ensuring adherence to policies and patient safety standards in a fast-paced lab setting.

Qualifications

• Assesses patient care needs and plans individualized nursing care.
• Performs appropriate medication administration as ordered by physicians.
• Maintains patient safety and fosters collaborative interdisciplinary relationships.
• Demonstrates leadership in charge nurse role when assigned.
• Requires NC RN licensure or compact state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates patient care in Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Maintains competencies and adheres to hospital policies.
• Assists in cost containment and accurate charging for services.
• Supports age-specific physiological and psychosocial needs of patients.
• Responds to life-threatening situations with appropriate actions.
