Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is seeking a Staff Nurse (RN) for its Cardiac Cath Lab. The role provides direct patient care, including assessment, planning, and delivery of care in a high-acuity setting.

The RN uses critical thinking and clinical expertise, supports patient safety and education, and collaborates with the interprofessional team. The unit operates with (4) 10-hour shifts from 7:00am to 5:30pm, with no nights.

Qualifications

• RN license in Missouri
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred for advancement

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on illness management and home care needs.
• Participates in safety, quality and regulatory activities and professional development.
• Develops and documents individualized plans of care with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Assesses patient needs and communicates plans across the continuum of care.
