Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a registered nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab to provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in a fast-paced surgical environment. The role requires close communication with physicians, maintaining lab equipment, and monitoring patient status during procedures.

The position is full-time with day shifts and call responsibilities, located in Joliet, IL. A BSN is preferred; RN license and BCLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred for advancement in nursing leadership roles.
• Active RN license is required to practice in the state.
• BCLS certification (AHA) required at hire and ongoing.
• ACLS certification required at hire and maintained thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in the cardiovascular lab setting.
• Communicates with physicians continuously regarding patient condition.
• Assists with equipment and inventory maintenance for the lab.
• Monitors patient physiology during diagnostic/therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.

Education

Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License

Current BCLS (AHA)

ACLS certificate upon hire and maintained
