Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of a two (2) year accredited program in Radiology Technology is required.
• One (1) year experience as a Radiology Technologist is preferred.
• Valid CDPH-RHB CRT certification with Fluoroscopy permit is required.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR is required.
• Successful completion of basic arrhythmia recognition course within six months of hire date.
• ARRT certification in Radiography is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic physics, anatomy/physiology, biology, math, Basic Arrhythmia and Advanced Cardiac Arrhythmia is required.
• Knowledge of contrast media, radiation physics, anatomy and radiographic positioning; ability to operate/troubleshoot equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of specialized invasive cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease.
• Perform routine and specialized radiographic procedures and provide patient care.
• Provide physician assistance during procedures.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Two-year Radiology Technology program

ARRT certification in Radiography (preferred)

CDPH-RHB CRT certification with Fluoroscopy permit

AHA BLS Healthcare Provider CPR

Basic arrhythmia recognition course

Experience as Radiology Technologist (1 year preferred)

Knowledge of radiographic positioning and equipment operation

Anatomy/physiology/physics knowledge
