Fairview Hospital / Cleveland Clinic in St. Louis area seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager for an outpatient Cardiac Cath Lab to supervise patient care and coordinate staff. The role emphasizes staffing, performance management, and operational efficiency within a Magnet-recognized hospital.

Onsite at the Heart Care Institute, the position offers a Monday-Friday schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays. Leadership in a fast-paced cath lab environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: 2-5 years nursing experience; leadership experience advantageous.
• Preferred: 5-10 years total nursing experience with some supervisory exposure.

• Manage staffing levels, labor budgets, and departmental productivity to meet goals.

Job description

Role Overview: The Assistant Nurse Manager supervises and coordinates patient care, personnel management, equipment maintenance, and departmental operations in an outpatient Cardiac Cath Lab setting.

• Key Responsibilities: Hire, train, assign work, evaluate staff performance, and support professional development. Manage staffing levels, labor budgets, and departmental productivity to meet operational goals. Oversee patient care planning, documentation, and collaborative care implementation based on assessment and medical treatment. Review staff hours, approve payroll, and handle staff communication and meetings. Conduct performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and recommend improvements.
• Qualifications: RN license with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: 2-5 years of relevant nursing experience; preferred 5-10 years. Leadership experience is advantageous, with less than 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong leadership, telemetry monitoring, and Cardiac Cath Lab experience are preferred. Ability to work safely, manage staff, and coordinate patient care effectively.
