Overview

Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis County offers comprehensive medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer treatment, women's and infants' health, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound, and pain management services. It features a 24-hour adult emergency department and a pediatric emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Missouri Baptist is the first hospital in St. Louis County to be named a Magnet hospital by the ANCC, signifying excellence in nursing and patient care. It is ranked #2 in the St. Louis metro area by U.S. News & World Report.

The hospital's lab averages 17 procedures daily, with four cardiac cath rooms and one EP/Stereotaxis room, performing procedures such as cardiac caths, PCIs, peripheral diagnostics and interventions, EP, ablations, PPM, and ICDs.

Role Purpose

Provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care in a healing environment, educating on illness management, post-treatment home care, and medication administration.
• Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; engage in professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with clear goals in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families, ensuring communication across the continuum of care.
• Assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural backgrounds.
• This is a safety-sensitive position; the ability to work alertly and safely is essential.
