Unit Details:- Diagnostic peripheral procedures/venograms include aortagram procedures (LE, UE, and visceral), carotid procedures, and AV fistula procedures.- Interventional peripheral procedures/venograms include aortagram procedures (LE, UE, and visceral), carotid procedures, AV fistula procedures, embolization, IVC filters, lytics, dialysis, Quinton cath, TIPS, PICC, and biopsy.- Nonvascular procedures include drains, G/J tubes, kidney tubes, and THC biliary procedures.- The technologist scrubs, circulates, and monitors and records hemodynamic parameters during invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures.- The role includes assisting physicians with contrast media administration for arterial, venous, and percutaneous procedures.- The role includes assisting and scrubbing with vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists in the operating room as needed.- Lead apron use is required.
8-hour shifts are standard; 10-hour shifts may be considered. Possible shift windows are 07a-330p, 08a-430p, and 09a-530p. On-call is required in rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays.
