Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is hiring experienced RNs for the Cath holding room unit in Nashville. This full-time night-shift position (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) supports pre- and post-procedure care for cardiac catheterization patients and interventional cardiology procedures.

Occasional Saturday rotations and 3 shifts/week help cover unit needs. Join a dynamic team dedicated to safe transitions, continuous patient education, and high-quality care in a fast-paced procedural setting.

Qualifications

• Care planning to anticipate patient needs and coordinate care across the team.
• Ability to educate patients and families about care plans and treatments.
• Ability to assess and evaluate patient conditions and progress.
• Ability to apply evidence-based practices to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
