Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist to perform specialized exams in cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology and peripheral vascular studies. The role includes leading staff during procedures, preparing patients, reading physician orders, and selecting proper equipment in line with Parkland standards to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited AAHEP Radiology Program or RCIS program.
• Minimum of one year experience in Special Procedures and/or Cath/EP Lab.
• Equivalent education/experience may substitute for the requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct specialized examinations in cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular studies and/or electrophysiology studies.
• Serve as lead worker and resource to medical and clinical staff as needed.
• Assist with patient identification, preparation, and draping; read orders and coordinate with physicians on protocols.
• Collaborate with intra-procedure team to ensure safe patient care and participate in Universal Protocol/site marking.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment; perform preventive maintenance and arrange repairs as needed.
• Identify ways to improve work processes and customer satisfaction, and implement improvements with supervision.
• Stay updated on cardiovascular technology developments by attending seminars and maintaining licensure.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, guidelines, and accreditation requirements.
