Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Cardiac/Med Surg Unit 4 West. This full-time day shift (approximately 6am–6pm) position offers post-cardiac cath training and a teamwork-driven environment on a 24-bed unit.

Under RN supervision, you will provide patient care, assist with admissions/discharges, and monitor patients. A high school diploma is required; BLS within 90 days; CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or related credentials are accepted; one year of healthcare experience

Qualifications

• One year of prior health care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a professional nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge processes.
• Observe patients and report changes in condition to the nurse.
