Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.
• 1 year experience required.
• Hospital Care at Home – Two (2) years acute care nursing experience required.
• Maintains Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate license.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC required for certain areas; NRP for NICU.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for Hospital Care at Home in-home nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and develops individualized care plans based on patient needs and responses.
• Respects diversity by building respectful relationships with all team members and customers.
• Functions as a patient and family advocate.
• Provides care appropriate to age of patients served on assigned unit/department.
• Coordinates care and delegates tasks to team members as appropriate.
• Documents patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful, and compliant manner.
• Demonstrates nursing skills and equipment competency as defined by unit requirements.
• Maintains regular attendance in line with policies and standards.
