Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking an RN for the Progressive Cardiac Care Unit at South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights. The role requires providing direct nursing care and coordinating patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, updating care plans, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, and supporting discharge planning while ensuring education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by AHA or Red Cross required at hire.
• ACLS/ALS certification required depending on unit/role and by hire or within first year.
• PALS or comparable pediatric life support required within specified timelines where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Documents patient condition and effectiveness of care and interventions.
• Updates and revises plan of care to achieve outcomes.
• Coordinates discharge planning with the healthcare team.
• Administers medications and treatments per nursing protocol.
• Ensures orders are followed and education is provided to patient and family.
