Job summary

Valley Children’s Healthcare seeks a Quality Coordinator to advance the hospital's quality and patient safety program across the Heart Center and the organization. You will translate clinical and operational data into actionable information and support performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include overseeing peer review, monitoring quality outcomes, and collaborating with leadership to identify trends and drive evidence-based improvements in care and safety.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associates Degree related field (required).
  • Education: Bachelors Degree (preferred).
  • Licenses and Certifications: RN - Registered Nurse License - CA-BRN - California Board of Registered Nursing (required).
  • CPHQ - Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality - NAHQ - National Association for Healthcare Quality (preferred).
  • CPPS - Certified Professional in Patient Safety - CBPPS - Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety (preferred).
  • Work Experience: Minimum four (4) years progressively responsible experience (required).
  • Work Experience: Minimum five (5) years related field (required).
  • Work Experience: Minimum four (4) years recent experience or knowledge of healthcare regulations including TJC, Title XXII and other regulatory standards. (required).

Responsibilities

  • Support the organization's performance improvement process.
  • Provide stewardship for the medical staff, nursing and other clinical professional peer review processes.
  • Identify performance trends, as well as prioritizing and recommending improvements.
