Job summary

Tanner Health System is seeking a Nursing Technician to perform basic nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The role requires enrollment in a practical nursing or nursing program and adherence to safety and documentation standards.

Responsibilities include patient advocacy, confidential handling of information, and teamwork within the unit. CPR certification is required within 30 days, and prior clinical exposure is valued but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Education: Ability to read and write.
• Experience: No prior work experience required.
• BLS within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Respects patient rights and confidentiality.
• Greets and communicates with patients, families, staff and physicians to assure VERY GOOD customer service.
• Serves as a patient advocate and assists the patient and family in meeting identified needs.
• Works as a team member within the department, and as a resource to other Nursing Technicians.
• Performs basic patient care and documents according to policy and procedure.
