Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join the team at Piedmont Macon Hospital. The ideal candidate will have fellowship training in cardiac anesthesia and a commitment to patient-centered care within a collaborative, innovative clinical environment.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Anesthesia
• Active Georgia medical license (or eligible and willing to obtain Georgia licensure)
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in general anesthesia

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cardiac anesthesia services for a wide range of cardiac and thoracic procedures
• Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) intraoperatively
• Deliver anesthesia care for both cardiac and non-cardiac surgical cases as needed
• Supervise and collaborate with CRNAs and Anesthesiologist Assistants
• Participate in 24/7 cardiac anesthesia coverage with the team
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and communication
• Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical innovation
