Job summary

UPMC Western Maryland is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a dedicated team. The role involves comprehensive anesthesia care for cardiac and other procedures, with emphasis on preoperative assessments and collaborative planning with patients.

The candidate should have an MD/DO with cardiac fellowship and be board-eligible or board-certified in anesthesia, plus active medical licensure. Excellent benefits and a supportive practice setting are offered.

Qualifications

• Completion of Cardiac Fellowship and residency in anesthesia.
• Licensed physician in good standing.
• TEEs proficiency required for perioperative care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across cardiac, ortho, general, neuro, and GYN procedures.
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent.
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients.
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitor patient status and intervene as needed; coordinate clinically with team.
