Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology required.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Eligible for Louisiana medical licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certification current.

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive perioperative anesthesia care for cardiothoracic patients.
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and post-anesthesia assessments within established timelines.
• Direct anesthesia and sedation services per standards of care.
• Ensure compliance with consent, infection prevention, medication safety, and life-support protocols.
• Supervise and coordinate anesthesia care delivery for assigned patients.
• Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting requirements.
• Monitor, inspect, and ensure readiness of anesthesia equipment.
• Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, CRNAs, nursing, and care teams to optimize outcomes.

Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology

Louisiana medical licensure eligible

Current BLS and ACLS certification
