Job summary

CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center – Bergan Mercy in Omaha seeks a fellowship-trained Cardiac Anesthesiologist for a high-volume, academic cardiovascular program. You will practice within a care team model at a Level I Trauma Center and contribute to an expanding residency program.

The role offers complex case exposure, academic involvement, and collaboration with surgeons, cardiologists, and critical care teams in a supportive university environment.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency.
• Fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesiology.
• Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Advanced Perioperative TEE certification (or eligible).
• Eligible for medical licensure in Nebraska.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthetic care for a full spectrum of adult cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG and valve surgeries.
• Structural heart procedures (TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, TriClip).
• Complex aortic surgery.
• Robust ECMO program.
• Perform and interpret intraoperative TEE (advanced certification required).
• Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, and critical care teams.
• Supervise and teach CRNAs, residents, and medical students.
