Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health's St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma seeks a board-certified Anesthesiologist to join our collaborative team.

You will provide expert perioperative care, develop individualized plans, and work with a multidisciplinary team to support patients and their families. Requirements include BC/BE in Anesthesiology, fellowship in cardiac anesthesiology with Advanced TEE diplomate status, and ability to obtain WA medical license and DEA with full prescriptive authority.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Anesthesiology Physician, you will join our collaborative team at St. Joseph Medical Center (SJMC). SJMC is a 385 bed, Level II Trauma, tertiary care medical center in downtown Tacoma. As part of our team, you will be dedicated to improving quality, enhancing patient experience, and advancing clinical standards for those we serve.

Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of our patients and their families. This position will also support a very active cardiac interventional program that includes TEE dependent electrophysiology procedures, structural heart (TAVR/WATCHMAN/Mitra-clip), and other cath lab procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate Anesthesiologist. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Job Requirements
Required
  • BC/BE Anesthesiology (American Board of Anesthesiology)
  • Fellowship in cardiac anesthesiology and diplomat status in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography (testamur status considered for recent fellowship graduates)
  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of Washington
  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice

$325.00 - $375.00 /hour
