Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, Texas seeks a BC/BE Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple. Advanced TEE certification is required. The role covers cardiac and general anesthesia with opportunities in neuro, OB, thoracic and regional cases.

Join a large, established team in a mixed anesthesia care model with a Monday–Friday schedule, on-call rotation, and potential coverage at the Waco affiliate. Epic EMR is used across the system.

Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree in Medicine.
• Licensed to Practice Medicine in Texas.
• Board certification or active pursuit of board certification as defined by ABMS/BOS.

Responsibilities

• Practice cardiac and general anesthesia, including neuro, OB, thoracic and regional anesthesia.
• Join a large team of anesthesiologists, residents, cardiac fellows, and CRNAs in a mixed staffing model.
• Maintain a Monday-Friday schedule with weekend/evening call rotation.
• Average one cardiac call per week with home call.
• Occasional cardiac anesthesia coverage at affiliated Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Waco.
• Use the Epic EMR system.

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a BC or BE Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Temple, Texas. Advanced TEE certification is required.

Position Highlights

• The Anesthesiologist will practice cardiac and general anesthesiology, to include neuro, OB, thoracic, and regional anesthesia. No pediatric cases.
• Join a large established team of anesthesiologists, residents, cardiac anesthesiology fellows, and CRNAs in a mixed anesthesia care team/solo staffing model.
• The work schedule is Monday-Friday with weekend and evening call rotated equally.
• Average 1 cardiac call per week- home call
• Cardiac cases include Heart Transplantation, LVAD, ECMO, TAVR, Mitraclip, CABG (including OPCAB), and valves.
• Additional earnings opportunities are available for working after hours and weekends.
• Occasional cardiac anesthesia coverage will be provided at our affiliated hospital located 30 minutes away, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Waco.
• Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple is a 636- bed acute care Level I trauma center and academic site for Baylor College of Medicine-Temple.
