The Card Services Specialist will ensure the efficient flow and handle daily processing of debit and credit card transactions, debit card disputes, Instant Issues, ATM processing, and balance general ledger accounts. The Card Services Specialist will fulfill the assigned responsibilities employing the core values of Focused, Engaged, Trustworthy, Humbly Confident, and Achiever.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Focus on Purpose: Monitor the flow and processing of transactions related to the debit and credit card programs
  • Accountability: Adheres to regulations and submits debit and credit card disputes within the allotted timeline. Analyzes fraud trends and reports them to the Card Services Manager.
  • ATM Processing:Performs testing and balancing of ATM machines, completes posting to general ledgers, reconciles ATM settlements, prepares cash for ATM replenishment, responsible for daily maintenance and upkeep of ATMs, and supports on-call after hours servicing needs.
  • Instant Issue Processing: Prints and mails instant issue debit and credit cards to members.
  • General Ledger Balancing:Reconciles daily the settlements of debit, credit cards, and ATMs.
  • Trustworthy: Maintains confidentiality and integrity of all member accounts as well as confidentiality with employees. Follow all credit union policies and procedures, including policies and procedures for customer identification and all BSA requirements.

Requirements:
  • A minimum education of high school diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce documents, spreadsheets, databases, etc. with Windows-based software.

  • Is detail-oriented and curious and will leverage research to mitigate fraud losses.
  • Ability to balance General Ledgers and knowledge of Excel.
  • Has an aptitude for accounting practices.
  • Possesses attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a strict standard of confidentiality.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
  • Requires independent judgment.
