Job description

Overview

Parkwest Bicycle Casino is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Card Control Attendant to join our team! As a Card Control Attendant you will ensure that all cards are properly accounted for and in top condition for use. You will also ensure that table games have the proper cards at the proper times, and provides assistance to your fellow co-workers.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures when working with "Paper Cards" check for irregularities, replace cards (if needed), place in Shuffle Machine, verify by color, print receipt/label, place in vault, seal and stock for use.
  • Ensures when working with "Plastic Cards" check for irregularities, replace cards (if needed), clean, place in I-deal machine for suiting, verify by color, place in box, label and stock for use.
  • Works with one deck of cards at a time in a timely manner.
  • Ability to use a cart to deliver and/or pick up cards.
  • When new games starts, takes the proper numbered box to the tables and makes sure they are ready for use.
  • While on the floor, retrieves decks from tables, assists in keeping room neat, and pushes chairs in and tables out of the way.
  • Assists customers by answering questions or referring them to the appropriate person.
  • Ensures that Card Control room is never left unattended.
  • Ensures that ALL cards are collected at all times.
  • Ensures that all tables have cards ready to use and/or replaced at all times.
  • Immediately notifies Supervisor or Lead Floorperson of any irregularities.
  • Assist in orientation and training of any new staff member or temporary worker.
  • Other job related duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications
    • Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • Able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and co-workers.
    • Able to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
    • Available for full time work which may include weekends and evening scheduling; and ready for all programs and activities. Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
    • Able to communicate clearly with team members.
    • Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
    • Able to work independently
    • Able to work within a team environment

    Physical and Mental Requirements

    • Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 25 pounds
    • Must be able to walk, stand, and bend at neck for 6 or more hours a day.
    • Position will require repetitive use of hands for the following actions; simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling and reaching for entire shift.
    • Position may require exposure to excessive noise.
    • Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
