About Us

Isometric is the world’s most trusted carbon registry. We issue scientifically rigorous carbon credits to help Fortune 100 companies avoid greenwashing while tackling climate change.

Our customers include Google, Meta, J.P. Morgan, McKinsey and Microsoft.

We're growing quickly, but we’re intentional about hiring people who contribute to our unique culture. Our team is smart, meticulous and courageous—but warm, kind and supportive too.

We’re looking for doers with a bias to action. If you want to join a company that gets important stuff done quickly, with no drama—then let us know.

Tackling climate change at Isometric is a career-defining role.

Working here will be unlike any job you've had before.

Things you’ll do in this role:

  1. Develop and refine MRV protocols for forest-based carbon storage, providing operational guidance for suppliers and ensuring robust validation, verification and credit issuance processes.
  2. Conduct literature reviews, analyse supplier data and apply modelling techniques to evaluate baselines, counterfactuals, system boundaries and reversal risks, driving protocol updates and project reliability.
  3. Collaborate with research partners and mentor team members to integrate cutting-edge science into protocols while fostering a culture of scientific rigour and collaboration.

Things we’re looking for:

  1. PhD (or Master level with 3+ years applicable experience) in ecology, biology, environmental and earth sciences, forestry, remote-sensing or a related field, with a research focus on carbon storage in forest ecosystems.
  2. Familiarity with deployment and analysis of remote-sensing for monitoring of ecosystem health and carbon sequestration, including multi-spectral, LiDAR and radar systems.
  3. Proven ability to approach complex challenges with curiosity, a solution-oriented mindset, a commitment to scientific rigour, a collaborative working style and clear communication skills.

This role isn’t for you if:

  1. You want a remote job. We value collaboration and physical time together. We’re in the office three days per week.
  2. You want to stay within your area of expertise and you prefer structured environments. We’re a small team moving at extreme pace in an environment with plenty of ambiguity. We’re building and learning on the fly—and everyone’s a generalist.
  3. You’re looking for a short term gig. Everything at Isometric is designed for the long term: our business model, our compensation/reward system and our decision-making processes. You should only apply if you’re looking to make a move that will last 5-10 years.

Compensation Range: £85K - £115K
