Job summary

SLB is seeking a Technology Specialist in carbon capture to join the US team and contribute to feasibility studies, concept development and execution of carbon capture projects. You will work on heat integration and CO2 handling across gas-turbine powered systems with a focus on scalable, modular solutions.

The role requires advanced degree (MSc/PhD) and at least 5 years of relevant experience, plus strong collaboration and communication skills to operate in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in relevant engineering or physics field.
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience (related PhD considered).
• Experience with process simulations and thermal energy systems.
• Knowledge of carbon capture technologies is advantageous.
• Experience with CO2 compression, handling, and flue gas processes is advantageous.
• Strong communication, teamwork and ability to work in multicultural teams.
• US work authorization without sponsorship is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technology expertise to feasibility studies, concept development, and execution projects.
• Develop carbon capture processes including heat integration and CO2 handling for large-scale projects.
• Create documents (PFDs, heat and mass balances, data sheets) for project implementation.
• Ensure quality of technical specifications and procedures for carbon capture processes.
• Interact with customers as part of business development and project execution.
• Contribute to R&D projects to develop carbon capture solutions.
• Identify tech gaps and opportunities for improvements in gas turbine carbon capture applications.
• Identify and assess patentable inventions related to technology.
