Qualifications

• Advanced degree in materials science/engineering with emphasis on carbide materials.
• Experience with SEM, EDX, and WDX analysis.
• Proven ability to write technical reports and publish articles.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret data related to materials and carbide manufacturing processes.
• Lead technical development of new ceramic and carbide cutting tool materials.
• Provide guidance for R&D staff in materials research and equipment.
• Write carbide procedures and procurement specifications for materials.
• Stay abreast of cutting tool materials developments to keep Greenleaf at technological forefront.
• Support manufacturing with technical problems as needed.
• Publish internal reports and technical articles to support current research and manufacturing.
• Support sintering of carbide materials and material qualifications.
• Understand and disposition properties of carbide.
