Frank’s Truck Center, located in Lyndhurst, NJ is the premier SUV/truck dealership in the NY/NJ area. We are seeking a FULL TIME Car Washer/Detailer/Porter to support our busy Sales Department. JOIN A WORLD CLASS TEAM @ Frank's!

In addition, we also represent Hino, Freightliner & Isuzu commercial trucks. Our dealership is located in Lyndhurst, New Jersey and also has service, parts & financing departments on site. We specialize in commercial trucks and have a large commercial truck parts department that serves New Jersey, New York City and more.

Some responsibilities of our CAR WASHER are:

• Clean and sanitize, vacuum and prepare vehicle interior. Clean and condition leather, vinyl, and other interior surfaces. Remove trash and debris from vehicle interiors.
• Wash, clean and dry the vehicle's exterior - includes cars of different sizes, as well as vans and trucks using appropriate cleaning agents, brushes, cloths, and hoses. Apply wax, polish, and protective treatments to vehicle exteriors. Clean and polish wheels, tires, and rims.
• Dry vehicle exteriors with air compressors or cloths.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces inside and out.
• Ensure all vehicle surfaces are free of streaks, smudges, and residue.
• Fuel and stage vehicles. Check fluid levels and add as needed; check tire condition, pressure and tread depth; inspect vehicle exterior for damage.
• Inspect vehicle for any safety concerns; report any warning lights and/or vehicle/windshield/tire damage.
• Assist customers when needed. May transport customers to and from the dealership. Make customer service a top priority!
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and help to maintain overall shop cleanliness, including general cleaning of interior and exteriors of the shop, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping and any other miscellaneous tasks.
• Follow up with Sales Reps and Managers to confirm job responsibilities, position reports to General Sales Manager.
• Drive vehicles within dealership lots and ensure vehicles are properly parked.
• Assist with miscellaneous duties within the dealership.

Job Requirements for this position are:

• Valid and CLEAN drivers license is required.
• Applicants must be motivated, dependable & exhibit good time management skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning and detailing chemicals and procedures is a PLUS.
• The ideal candidate must have a strong desire to succeed. 2 years experience in automotive detailing is a PLUS.
• Professional appearance and strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Performing work safely and effectively - Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while handling cleaning agents and equipment & wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. both alone and with assistance and physical stamina to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
