Car Wash, Detail and Lube Technician (Manufacturing)

Get with Spiffy and go mobile! Are you an automotive enthusiast who takes pride in detailing your own vehicle and wants to deepen your industry knowledge? As a Mobile Car Wash, Detail and Lube Technician, you will travel to designated sites to clean, detail, and maintain client vehicles, ensuring their satisfaction. Must be willing to work in all weather conditions; this role may not be suitable for those preferring a temperature-controlled environment.

Position Details

• Shift: 8-hour shifts, flexible schedule including weekends
• Starting pay: $20/hr, paid weekly
• Performance-based increase: $1/hr after 90 days
• Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance
• Vacation and sick leave
• No experience needed; training provided

Responsibilities

1. Perform thorough car washes, including hand washing, pressure washing, and drying
2. Detail interiors and exteriors, including vacuuming, cleaning upholstery, polishing, waxing
3. Conduct basic lube services: oil/filter changes, fluid top-ups, tire rotations
4. Use automotive tools safely and maintain an organized workspace
5. Provide excellent customer service and explain services to clients
6. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
7. Collaborate with team members to meet service standards
8. Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations
9. Assist with other automotive tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license
• Willing to work in all weather conditions
• Energetic, reliable, honest, and punctual
• Basic computer and math skills; tech-savvy with a smartphone
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Physical stamina for extended periods of standing and movement
• Willing to learn new technologies
• Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Experience

• Previous wash, detail, and lube experience on various vehicles
• Knowledge of automotive cleaning products and maintenance
• Experience working outdoors or in all weather conditions
