Car Wash, Detail and Lube Technician (Manufacturing)

Get with Spiffy and go mobile! Are you an automotive enthusiast who takes pride in detailing your own vehicle and wants to deepen your knowledge in the industry? As a Mobile Car Wash, Detail and Lube Technician, you will travel to designated sites to ensure client vehicles are cleaned, detailed, and well-maintained, guaranteeing their utmost satisfaction. Must be willing to work in all weather conditions. If you prefer a temperature-controlled environment, this job may not be ideal for you.

Position Details

• Position: Car Wash, Detail and Lube Technician
• Shift: 8am-6pm, Monday-Sunday

• $1/hr increase after 90 days based on performance

Responsibilities

1. Perform thorough car washes, including hand washing, pressure washing, and drying
2. Detail interiors and exteriors, including vacuuming, cleaning upholstery, polishing, waxing
3. Conduct basic lube services such as oil and filter changes, fluid top-ups, and tire rotations
4. Use automotive tools safely and maintain an organized workspace
5. Provide excellent customer service, explaining services and recommending maintenance
6. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
7. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
8. Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations
9. Assist with other automotive tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Must be 18+, with a valid driver’s license and ability to drive
• Willing to work in all weather conditions
• Energetic, reliable, honest, and punctual
• Basic computer and math skills; tech-savvy with a smartphone
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Physical stamina and ability to stand, bend, lift for extended periods
• Willing to learn new technologies and industry practices
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays

Preferred but Not Required

• Experience with vehicle washing, detailing, and maintenance
• Knowledge of automotive cleaning products and techniques
• Previous experience in outdoor, all-weather roles such as construction or HVAC
