Regions Hospital is seeking a Car Seat Education Consultant to educate patients in the inpatient and emergency department on safe car seat use and roadway safety. You will assess needs, demonstrate proper installation, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote best practices in infant and child safety.

A SafeKids CPST certification and BLS certification are required, with a four-year degree or an equivalent two-year healthcare/education degree plus experience.

Formación

• Education as specified: four-year degree required.
• Alternate: two-year healthcare/education degree with two years of related work experience.
• Minimum six months experience as a CPST or instructor.
• Current SafeKids CPST certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsabilidades

• Educate patients in inpatient and emergency department settings on car seat safety.
• Perform assessments and demonstrate proper car seat installation and belt use.
• Collaborate with the health care team and document findings in a timely manner.
• Maintain knowledge of current safety standards and regional laws.
