Job description

As a Car Electronics Installer, you’ll install new technology into customers’ vehicles in our store's installation bay. You will also share advice, best practices, and product recommendations with customers and colleagues. If you have a passion for cars and tech, we’ll provide the necessary training and certifications to help you excel. This role is known internally as an Autotech Agent, with opportunities to advance to Autotech Agent Level 2.

What you’ll do

1. Install car electronics such as T-harness remote starts, stereos, speakers, dash cameras, backup cameras, amplifiers, and in-dash units.
2. Use provided guides to identify compatible mobile electronic products and complete installation projects.
3. Verify vehicle make and model, and communicate any compatibility concerns prior to installation.
4. Provide excellent customer service.
5. Complete required trainings and certifications.
6. Maintain a current, valid driver’s license.
7. Have and maintain a driving record that meets Best Buy’s safety standards (e.g., minimal violations/accidents).

Preferred qualifications

• Prior experience installing car electronics.
