Job summary

Flexcar in Auburn, MA is seeking a Cleaning Coordinator to lead a crew of cleaners who wash and detail our rental fleet on the lot. The role blends supervision with hands-on work, focusing on scheduling, training, quality control, and inventory management to hit daily standards.

Applicants should have 2+ years leading an hourly crew, be comfortable with data entry, and hold a valid driver’s license; bilingual a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years leading an hourly crew in vehicle detailing, car wash, fleet or rental lot operations, or dealership reconditioning.
• Hands-on skill in exterior washing and interior detailing, with ability to teach it.
• Experience scheduling hourly staff and managing attendance, overtime, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Build the daily clean list from upcoming orders and sequence exterior wash and interior detail.
• Grade cars at intake and set the level for detailing.
• Inspect finished cars, flag damage, and manage rework.
• Keep the lot moving safely and the ready line organized.
• Hire, train, and certify cleaners on standards, time standards, and chemical safety.
• Write weekly schedules, manage attendance, and control overtime.
• Coach staff on efficiency and quality, report to People Operations.
• Own inventory and ordering for chemicals and supplies; keep equipment in order.
