Job summary

Hendrick Automotive Group is seeking a dedicated vehicle transporter at our Charlotte location. You will drive a range of vehicles, complete paperwork, and ensure correct handoffs to customers or internal teams.

The role requires careful inspection of traded vehicles, adherence to safety standards, and timely, accurate timekeeping. Regular and predictable attendance is essential in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
• Previous delivery or transportation experience desired.
• Regular and predictable attendance; shifts may include evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans, with ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
• Ensure necessary paperwork is complete, accurate and matches appropriate vehicle.
• Ensure that the vehicle being traded is clean and undamaged prior to making delivery.
• Thoroughly inspect newly traded vehicles (interior and exterior) before accepting delivery from dealership.
• Ensure a safe and successful transfer of the vehicle to its destination, including complete inspection of vehicle prior to and post transfer.
• Maintains CSI at or above Company standards.
• Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
• Participates in required training.
• Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
• Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
• Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values.
• Complies with Company policies and procedures.
• Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
