Job description

As a member of the Business Operations Team at OnLogic, you'll be the operational glue holding our federal and defense business together. This is a new role created to keep pace with our growing public sector footprint. You'll sit at the center of every rated order, every flowdown clause, and every proposal deadline, making sure our sales team's commitments and our company's ability to deliver never drift apart.

We believe in the power of in-person collaboration and the benefits of a strong workplace community. Therefore, this role requires an onsite presence at our South Burlington, Vermont office. We encourage candidates who are able to relocate or comfortably commute to apply.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
  • Review all incoming Public Sector Requests for Quotes (RFQ) alongside Sales to assess capacity, manage Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) commitments, and resolve fulfillment conflicts before quote issuance.
  • Partner with Legal to interpret flowdown requirements in federal contracts, confirming OnLogic can actually deliver on each one before we commit.
  • Verify, log, and process Public Sector orders—including DPAS DO/DX rated and non-rated opportunities—ensuring Defense Production Act compliance while keeping priority production on track.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to protect priority production slots and push flowdown requirements down to our tier-1 component suppliers.
  • Keep public sector opportunities current in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (HubSpot) across long, multi-stage procurement cycles.
  • Coordinate Shipley-model color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold) with cross-functional subject matter experts to build compliant, winning responses to RFQs, Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Train and hold the sales team accountable to the fundamentals of rated orders and federal contracting, so customer expectations and business reality stay aligned.
The team you will be joining:

Our Sales & Marketing team is a collaborative crew of digital marketers, creative storytellers, revenue drivers, and account strategists dedicated to positioning OnLogic as the first choice in edge computing and helping customers make the impossible possible. Together, they build demand, fuel growth, and champion the customer experience across every touchpoint. From creative campaign development and ecommerce management to strategic account growth, complex solution selling, and partner co-sell motions, this team bridges brand awareness with high-impact revenue generation and scalable sales operations.

Learn more about Life at OnLogic.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field (equivalent professional/military experience will be considered).
  • At least 5 years of experience in Sales Operations/Business Development with Government or Department of Defense (DoD) customers. Preference for candidates with capture experience and Defense Acquisition University (DAU) - equivalent training.
  • Understanding and/or knowledge of industrial compute or rugged compute on the edge in austere environments.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now and in the future.
Who we’re looking for:
  • A federal contracts and compliance expert who can read a flowdown clause and immediately know what it means for Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sales.
  • Someone who has processed DPAS rated orders before and isn't intimidated by DO/DX priority ratings or the Defense Production Act.
  • A capture professional who has run, or supported, Shipley-style Pink, Red, and Gold color team reviews and knows how to turn a tight RFQ, RFP, or RFI deadline into a compliant, competitive response.
  • Someone who will hold the sales team accountable for accurate deal scoping during the sales cycle, building trust with internal post-sales teams and setting clear, achievable expectations with customers.
  • Someone fluent in trade compliance basics, including International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), who is comfortable working with global teams across time zones.
  • A process-minded operator who keeps CRM data clean and procurement timelines visible, even when deals stretch over many months.
