Ryan Specialty is seeking a Captive Insurance Accounting and Reporting Specialist to join our finance team in Media, PA. You will focus on the unique accounting and reporting needs of captive insurance entities, delivering insights that support strategic decisions.

Responsibilities include policy administration, claims processing, financial analysis, tax filings, investment monitoring, and mentoring junior staff while contributing to policy development and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with 5 years of related experience; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience.
• CPA or Certified in Captive Insurance is preferred.
• Strong accounting, regulatory, and financial reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the administration of insurance policies, ensuring all policy documents are accurate and up-to-date.
• Oversee the processing of insurance claims, ensuring they are handled efficiently and accurately.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, make forecasts, and provide recommendations for financial planning.
• Prepare and file tax returns for the captive insurance entities, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Monitor the performance of the captive’s investment portfolio, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
• Train and mentor junior staff members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
