Position Summary

This legacy, part 91 account, has a history of safety and service. The pilot in command reports to the lead captain regarding company operating policies and procedures. The pilot in command is responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of the flight assignment with an emphasis on safety, security, and quality. They exercise pilot in command authority of all flights to which they are assigned and are the final authority for the safe conduct of the flight.

Minimum Requirements
  • Must possess an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating
  • Obtain and maintain an FAA First Class Medical
  • 4000 hours Total Fixed Wing
  • 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land
  • 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command
  • 1500 hours Turbojet
  • 1500 Turbine time
  • 100 hours Night
  • 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument
  • 5 years of aviation experience
  • Ability to work flexible schedules
  • Willing and able to travel extensively worldwide without restrictions
  • Valid driver's license
Main Responsibilities
  • Safely operate the aircraft, determine departure times and routes, and cancel flights based on weather or other conditions
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and policies
  • Make necessary changes during flight due to en route conditions
  • Conduct flights safely and prudently, adhering to industry and company standards
  • Complete all trip paperwork accurately
  • Coordinate thoroughly with the second in command regarding all aspects of flight
  • Record aircraft discrepancies and report them promptly
  • Ensure crew reports for duty in proper attire and are fit for duty
  • Maintain knowledge of aircraft systems and emergency procedures
  • Secure the aircraft after each flight
  • Obtain current weather reports and file flight plans
  • Analyze charts for landing and alternate airports
  • Perform security duties as the TSA Flight Security Coordinator
  • Conduct passenger safety briefings or delegate this task
  • Train the second in command for emergency situations
  • Complete and send required reports and manifests
  • Report safety hazards and concerns immediately
  • Represent Jet Aviation professionally in all industry and regulatory interactions

Physical Demands

Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, sitting, and operating aircraft systems. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Work in hangars and customer areas, with moderate to loud noise levels, exposure to vibration, occasional fuel fumes, and varying weather conditions. Hot and cold environments are common.
