Position: Captain - Food & Nutrition

Type: Full-time, 40 hours

Shifts: 6am-2:30pm AND/OR 10:30am-7pm

Summary

Performs hospital food service duties such as assembling, delivering, retrieving patient trays, washing dishes, pots, carts, and support for service ware; sets up and serves in the cafeteria. Provides high-quality service with respect to others at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of and compliance with food handling regulations (HACCP).
• Ability to assemble and pass trays.
• Helpful and pleasant communication with visitors, hospital staff, physicians, and coworkers.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse patient and customer populations, respecting their dignity.
• Physical demands include exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10-25 pounds frequently, being active on feet most of the day, and lifting or pushing light to medium objects.

Compensation & Benefits
