Job summary

Chamberlain College of Nursing is seeking part-time Clinical Instructors to teach in our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in the Arlington, VA area. Instructors will mentor students in person at inpatient clinical settings, bridging classroom learning with on-site patient care.

Qualifications

A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
An unencumbered professional nursing license in VA.
At least two years professional experience within last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse.
Live within a reasonable proximity of Arlington, VA – will be teaching at the clinical locations assigned per session.
Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.
Have genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
Have exceptional subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Are eager to serve students and colleagues with passion, respect and care.

Responsibilities

Teaching and Curriculum Implementation: Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
Student Evaluation and Support: Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student's knowledge base, skill competency and individual learning needs.
Clinical Coordination: Orient and maintain current knowledge related to clinical site policies, procedures, and expectations with the assistance of the clinical site personnel.
Program and College Development: Contribute to the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of the programs and the College.
Professionalism and Collaboration: Serve as a professional role model for other faculty, staff, and students.
Regulatory Compliance and Reporting: Comply with all applicable regulatory rules and standards.
Handle related duties and perform other duties as assigned, comply with all policies and standards.
