Job summary

The Georgia Chamber of Commerce offers a three-intern program in the Public Affairs Department to support the government affairs team at the Georgia Capitol during the 2027 Legislative Session. Interns will gain hands-on experience in state lobbying and learn about stakeholders and issues affecting Georgia’s policy landscape. Positions available: three.

Hours: 20-24 per week. Stipend: $12 per hour, with a maximum of 30 hours per week, and credit hours upon agreement with the sponsoring

Qualifications

• Prerequisites: Senior level student or higher to include graduate studies.
• Must be available to work on Wednesdays.
• Interest in politics and the legislative process.

Responsibilities

• Attend government affairs activities at the Capitol.
• Take notes on legislation Chamber is tracking.
• Assist with preparation of handouts for meetings.
• Coordinate and distribute information per direction of the government affairs team.
• Provide support with parking and expenses reimbursement.
• Credit hours awarded upon agreement with sponsoring institution.
