Job summary

Cencora in Washington, DC is seeking a motivated apprentice to join the U.S. Public Policy & Advocacy team for a 6‑month co‑op.

This hybrid role offers in‑person opportunities near the Capitol and in our office, with responsibilities spanning policy analysis, administrative support, and project coordination. As a current graduate student, you will work 40 hours per week, supporting cross‑functional teams, preparing presentations, and helping track federal policy developments, hearings, and

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Good project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• Good analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions.
• Must be eager to learn, self-motivated, flexible, accountable and can effectively handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Knowledge of computers to operate effectively with PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook

Responsibilities

• Support policy analysis and administrative tasks.
• Prepare presentations and slide decks for team presentations.
• Develop advocacy materials like 'footprint' one‑pagers.
• Assist data export and facility data collaboration with IT.
• Attend hearings and industry briefings; take notes and draft memos.
• Track and analyze key public policy developments and regulatory proposals.
• Support meetings, lobbying, and PAC data organization.
