Job summary

ClearPath, Inc. is offering a paid internship in Washington, DC. Interns join one core team—Policy, Government Affairs or Operations—while collaborating across the organization and gaining exposure to Capitol Hill, the Administration, industry, and key stakeholders.

You will build competencies toward your career goals, rotate across departments if possible, and contribute to research, policy analysis, and communications efforts that support ongoing legislative and regulatory activities.

Qualifications

• Interest in Capitol Hill operations, political processes, policy or clean energy technologies and energy systems
• Professional alignment with ClearPath’s mission and values
• Proficient in Google Workspace
• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting data
• Strong networking and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Enrolled in a four-year university with preferred majors listed above
• Interns are hourly and paid on a bi-weekly schedule
• Compensation: $18.40 per hour up to 40 hours per week
• Interns are not eligible for benefits
• Spring internships last for the academic semester
• Fully stocked office kitchen in Capitol Hill building
• On-site cafe access

Responsibilities

• Execute research and analysis activities to identify needs and develop approaches to address them
• Provide high-level, quick, and in-depth analysis of policy, politics and/or industry trends
• Support the production of fact sheets, newsletters, op-eds, and educational materials relating to ongoing activities
• Respond to a variety of special projects with visibility to Members of Congress
• Attend congressional hearings on energy and prepare briefings for the team
• Participate in meetings, synthesize notes and facilitate action items and follow-up items
• Coordinate and attend events, hearings and briefings to drive messaging
• Educate target audiences and key stakeholders on ClearPath priorities
