Job summary

Cumberland Valley School District seeks a 12 month, 8 hr/day Supervisor of Capital Projects to manage district capital construction and facility projects from design through warranty at the District Support Facility.

The role collaborates with architects, engineers, and inspectors, reviewing plans, coordinating schedules, and ensuring safety and budget compliance. Evening/weekend on-call hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; associates preferred in related field.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and prints.
• Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.
• Experience managing non-residential building projects desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead representative for new construction, renovation, or major system replacements.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, inspectors, and managers.
• Prepare RFQs for architectural/engineering/CM services when needed.
• Monitor compliance with contracts and budgets.
• Coordinate educational specifications and review blueprints.
• Communicate planning dates to principals and stakeholders.
• Inspect projects for contract and safety compliance; report issues.
• Manage permitting processes and government approvals.
• Attend job conferences; ensure punch lists and warrants are resolved.
