Job summary

Baker Tilly's Construction and Real Estate Advisory practice is seeking a Consulting Manager to perform program reviews, cost audits, and real estate assessments for capital projects across the United States. You will lead fieldwork, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver best-practice consulting tailored to real estate and capital programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in construction management or real estate advisory.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, or Accounting; CPA, CIA, CCA, CFE, PMP, or PE is preferred
• Knowledge of construction phases including planning, pre-construction, procurement, scheduling, cost estimating, and project reporting; real estate portfolio management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to produce well-organized client-facing reports
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to support client engagements

Responsibilities

• Conduct construction and real estate process reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assess contracts, real estate lease agreements, and capital project performance for compliance and best practices.
• Provide actionable recommendations to enhance transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency.
• Lead fieldwork activities including data collection, site visits, interviews, and documentation of findings; prepare clear reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers, asset managers, legal counsel, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to support project oversight, risk mitigation, and dispute resolution.
• Support clients throughout the real estate and capital project lifecycle—from acquisition and development to operations and disposition—ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
