Job summary

Nestlé in St. Louis is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to manage capital projects end to end, from concept through commissioning. You will maintain alignment with design processes, manage scope, cost, resources, and funding, and coordinate with internal and external groups to drive project delivery.

You will develop pre-project documents, track milestones, coordinate bid packages, oversee installation and construction, and support plant startup to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 5+ years of project management experience in manufacturing/industrial/military or related field.
• Or an Associate’s Degree with 8+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing/industrial/military or related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 30-75% depending on project schedules and milestones.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of pre-project approval documents including project charter, management plan, kick start, estimates and milestone schedules.
• Ensure design progress and deliverables meet established project components.
• Receive design details from the design team and coordinate bid package development for construction bidding and field execution.
• Direct and execute installation, construction and commissioning of assigned projects.
• Manage adherence to project milestones and scope; secure approvals for changes using engineering methods.
• Provide construction management and plant startup assistance to ensure successful project execution.
