Job summary

Hill’s Pet Nutrition, part of Colgate-Palmolive, is seeking a Capital Projects Engineer in Emporia, KS. You will lead end-to-end capital projects to improve safety, capacity, and cost objectives at a world-class manufacturing site.

Responsibilities include managing scope, cost control, risk, and vendor performance, while ensuring GMP, EOHS, and quality compliance across all project phases. Collaboration with Operations and Maintenance is key.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Electrical, or related)
• 3+ years of manufacturing/engineering/capital project experience
• Experience managing equipment installations or line upgrades from concept to start-up
• Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and quality systems
• Ability to work in industrial environments and move through production areas

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project execution from concept through start-up
• Coordinate process, mechanical, and electrical designs for integration
• Direct external engineering firms and equipment OEMs through RFQs and on-site installations
• Ensure EOHS, safety, GMP compliance across all project phases
• Develop training materials, SOPs, and maintenance plans to support readiness
• Evaluate impacts on utilities and raw material flows with procurement and operations
